I got a notice that I'm eligible to renew my license online. Sweet! So I fill out their online form all the way through. The last page says print out and sign the form for when I go to my local branch to renew. What crap is that? Apparently I was only able to pre-renew?

I just got a notice I can renew online too. But I was going to wait until it is closer to expiring. Maybe I will do it earlier now.

I renewed my license from the DMV online once. They reused my picture which I had gotten from my permit.
My license was then extended to be good for the next 10 years. And even without nature rolling poorly on the hair genes there's no way I'm gonna look the same when I was 15 compared to when Im almost 30

Ugh that reminded me that I have to renew my tags in time for the sticker to arrive here by the 11th and I get paid on the 1st. That I can do 100% online though.

Maryland has an on-line renewal. But - if I recall correctly - it requires an eye exam from an "authorized eye care professional," which you have to pay for. It looks like the hassle of getting the official eye exam pretty much equals waiting at DMV (where reading the eye chart is free), so I've never tried it.

I think the eye exam is why they want me to come in. I do require glasses to drive, and they know that already. Why tell me I'm eligible to renew online if they know they're going to want a vision test?
